Copyrighted Works from 1925 Enter the U.S. Public Domain on January 1, 2021

January 1, 2021 will not only be New Year's Day, but also Public Domain Day. As of that date, copyrighted works from 1925 will enter the United States public domain.and will be open to everyone.

These works were slated to enter the public domain in 2001 after 75 years of copyright protection. However, Congress extended their copyright to 95 years. Works that will be available include books, silent films, and music.
