Mayor's Orders and Mayor's Memoranda

The D.C. Office of Documents and Administrative Issuances (ODAI) publishes the D.C. Municipal Regulations (DCMR) and the D.C. Register. The D.C. Register is published weekly on a Friday. If the Friday is a public holiday, the Register is published on the Thursday.

Mayor's Orders can be searched by either the order number or by conducting a calendar search, if the month and year are known.

Mayor's Memoranda are searchable by the Memorandum number or by calendar.

Commissioner's Orders

From 1967-1974, the District of Columbia was governed by a Commissioner. This office was established by Congress, and was eventually replaced by the current mayoral position.

To locate Commissioners' Orders from 1952-1972, call the Office of the Secretary at 202-727-5090 or email dcdocuments@dc.gov for assistance.
